Bill C-10 is a dangerous internet anti-speech scheme and law they are attempting to use in order to make Politicians, of all things, a protected class.
Censorship that will effect the left, if right get in. It’s a nuclear option that can be handled by any political lunatic on any side, and one that should never exist.
Bill C-36 is especially dangerous it takes the anonymous flagging and nastiness of the Internet and puts it in real life. Imagine, you have stalker or angry ex. They can make human rights complaints against you and it can be anonymous.
Any nasty claim against you can be used to pull you before a court.
I, as a Libertarian, oppose this fully. I oppose any violation of Freespeech.
Yeah some will say “what about fraud and child porn,” it’s not the pornographic thing that makes the expression the issue, it’s guy/gal banging the kid. It’s not the pitch the confidence man makes that is at issue, it’s the fact s/he took your property, if it works.
